What an amazing place. Me, my wife and little boy just spent a few days at the Carn to celebrate a birthday and for a bit of downtime after a tough couple of months. The location is amazing, you feel totally isolated but at the same time you're within walking distance of the lovely town of Presteigne. We're already thinking about returning in the summer.

We had a beautiful few days here bathing outdoors, cooking over the fire and generally feeling like we were piloting a tugboat over a field of wheat. The house is lovely and the outdoor bath and shower are unmatched. Such a cool part of the world

The Carn at Frith Meadow is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever stayed at. We were a group of 5, and we had such a magical weekend. The cabin is beautifully designed and the location is stunning - the photos don’t do it justice! Becks and Bill have created such a magical place, and on top of it they were wonderful hosts - always available for any questions we had, so kind and generous throughout. We loved all of the additional small touches, like the guidebook with recommended hikes and the fresh bread and local organic juice that was waiting for us on arrival. We’d 100% recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil and restorative weekend away. Thanks both for a perfect stay 💕

We had the most beautiful, peaceful break in frith meadow. The accommodation is well equipped in a beautiful, quiet surrounding area with beautiful views across the countryside. Thank you for creating such a special place and sharing it with everyone x

We have just had the most amazing 5 days at The Carn. Such a magical place where we were able to totally switch off and spend quality time reconnecting as a family. From the moment we arrived we felt at home. The welcome gifts of bread, coffee and apple juice were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. The house has everything you need, but by far the most enjoyable was the outside bath and shower! Such a wonderful way to rest and relax! A very special place, which we will no doubt be returning to. Thank you Becks and Bill for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

We loved our stay at the Carn; my daughter woke up this morning crying about how much she missed it! The outdoor shower and bath are amazing, as are the views and tranquility. Thank you for an incredible place to stay Becks and Bill…

Well, what can I say!! We have been here 3 times in the last 14 months!! Surely that's all the review you need but I will go deeper. The Carn is perfection. When we arrive we instantly enter our bubble of relaxation where you no longer need to know what time it is or where your phone is. It has everything you need for a cosy, luxurious stay. The bedroom is cosy with amazing views out the double doors and a very comfortable bed. The underfloor heating in the bedroom and bathroom keep you toasty even when it was -6 outside! There is another bedroom that holds a double bed with a bunk over the top and the cabin is compact but spacious and well designed. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook up a storm and the living/ dining area with its wood burner are functional and beautiful. I love the feel of The Carn as soon as I walk in the door. And the cherry on top.... that outdoor sunken bath tub!! Cleverly sunken and protected by the cabin from the elements, you can sit in there for hours no matter the weather. The water comes out the tap scorching hot so no fear of becoming cold. I'm pretty sure we averaged 3 baths per day whilst here!! I literally spend all my time wanting to be back in this little slice of heaven. Its private and tucked away in your own little field with spectacular views of the castle ruins and protected by the woods that run along side. Becks, thanks for having us, again! We will be back and I can not wait. Colette x

A truly special and unique place to kick back and unwind in total tranquillity. Nestled at the top of a valley with beautiful views of Stapleton Castle, the cabin feels totally secluded in its spot amid picturesque woodland. The whole place is tastefully done with brilliant attention to detail that’s been hand-crafted and tailor-made by the owners. It’s full of creative and bespoke finishing touches and well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. We really enjoyed our December visit and will definitely be back next summer.

Very special spot tucked away on the top of a valley with utter tranquil and peace all around. The building’s design and craft was beautiful and the whole wintery weekend wonderful. Watching the moon in the sunken bath and stomping through the first year’s frost was a highlight! Thanks so much for being such thoughtful and attentive hosts, can’t wait to visit again

We stayed at the Carn, a beautifully designed and thoughtfully curated space that was so cosy and so very tranquil. What a heavenly place to unwind, and relax! Superb setting, stunning scenery, incredible cabin and that outdoor bath! We’ll be back!
